The Stepping Out series was a response to a request from my son and future daughter in law  to create a textile piece that could be used as a base for all their wedding stationary. 

 

As a couple they are very commited to walking and the countryside, so this piece had to reflect that. The design process threw up lots of ideas, some of which eventually found their way into a huge paper collage with details specifically relevant to them. Others ides, rejected for the main piece, became works of art in their own right eg Burbage, bottom centre.
